OVERVIEW

Our leagues operate on a standard 11 week schedule. The first 8 weeks consist of regular season games and the last 3 weeks consist of playoff play. Each week a team plays one game that lasts an hour in duration. Each game is refereed by certified referees. Every game operates for two 20 minute halves with stoppage time for fouls, substitutions and timeouts. Each game is operated off the gymnasium digital scoring system for the convenience of players and staff.

MEDIA CONTENT

Our league takes statistics of every game in four statistical categories. These include player points, rebounds, assists and steals. We have a live stats tracking app that completes and updates statistics for us in real time! Roundball provides video highlight reels of each of our games on our Youtube & Facebook page. We also provide a variety of special feature content on our Instagram page such as Player of the Week reels, plays of the week reels, professional photography and weekly power rankingsWe take great pride in providing the all around basketball experience for our athletes.  By the end of the playoffs, the winning team is awarded with a championship trophy and championship apparel. MVP’s of both the regular season and playoffs are also awarded.

LIABILITY & SAFETY

Each player must read and sign a Roundball player code of conduct waiver release form. The code of conduct waiver addresses the risk associated with competitive participation and outlines the player’s acceptance of this risk and the expectation of appropriate sportsmanlike behavior. A fully equipped Saint John’s Ambulance first aid kit & attendant is always on site when needed.

COST

Cost for our Vancouver program is $135.00 per player. This fee covers the costs of insurance, referee expenses, rental expenses, organizational costs, charitable contribution and further development of the Roundball program re: promotion, expansion and other ongoing program developmental fees. Roundball jerseys are also available for players at an additional cost based on quality. In addition, being a community organization Roundball partners with community based agencies to provide opportunities for at-risk/mentored young athletes to compete via our discounted/sponsored referral programs.
